How to handle SPC flooring technology?

spc flooring (stone plastic composite flooring) is mainly used in home and outdoor decoration scenarios, so its processing technology is very strict. Therefore, its production process mainly includes the following core links:
1、 Raw material preparation
Substrate formula mixing
SPC substrate is mainly made of stone powder (calcium carbonate) and polyvinyl chloride resin (PVC), with the addition of calcium zinc stabilizers, lubricants, toughening agents and other auxiliary materials. The resin properties are optimized through a composite pretreatment process. Some processes will introduce nanosheet materials to enhance thermal and dimensional stability.
2、 Extrusion molding
High temperature extrusion
The mixed raw materials are melted and plasticized at high temperature by an extruder, and then extruded through a T-shaped mold to form a continuous and uniform SPC substrate layer. This step requires precise control of temperature and pressure to ensure the compactness and uniformity of the substrate.
3、 Laminated composite
Rolling and bonding
The substrate layer, color film layer, and wear-resistant layer are heated and bonded together in one go through a three roll or four roll rolling machine, and the pattern imprint (such as wood grain, stone pattern, artistic pattern, and customized pattern, etc.) is simultaneously completed, achieving a combination of decoration and functionality.
UV coating
Some processes add UV coating on the surface of the wear-resistant layer to further enhance scratch resistance and glossiness, while also increasing SPC floor cushioning and noise reduction.
4、 Cooling and shaping
The laminated board is rapidly cooled and shaped by a cooling roller or water cooling system to prevent deformation and stabilize dimensions.
5、 Surface treatment and processing
Cut into sections
Continuous boards are cut into single pieces of flooring according to standard dimensions.
Lock processing
Process the locking structure on the edge of the floor for seamless splicing during subsequent installation.
6、 Quality Inspection and Packaging
After undergoing multiple tests such as compression resistance, waterproofing, and dimensional stability, it is packaged and stored. The waterproof process significantly improves the waterproof performance by optimizing the formula and surface treatment.
