How to choose SPC flooring?

Choosing high-quality spc flooring can be considered from the following aspects:

Observing color: High quality SPC flooring usually appears beige, while poor quality flooring may appear gray, cyan, or black. The color of the floor made of pure new materials is relatively uniform, while the color of the floor made of mixed or recycled materials may be uneven.

Touch feel: SPC flooring made of pure new materials has a delicate touch and a moisturizing sensation; However, the flooring made from recycled and mixed materials feels relatively dry and lacks a sense of moisture. In addition, after splicing two floors, checking their flatness and fit is also an important part of evaluating quality.

Smell: High quality flooring usually does not have a noticeable odor, and only a very small number of low-quality flooring may have a slight odor. Through olfactory detection, the quality of flooring can be further screened.

Check transparency: Use a mobile phone flashlight to illuminate the floor. High quality floors have good transparency, while poor quality floors have poor transparency. This step helps identify whether low-quality materials are mixed in the floor.

Measurement of thickness: Use a caliper or micrometer to accurately measure the thickness of the floor. The thickness indicated by a reputable manufacturer should have a slight difference from the actual measurement value, and usually the measured value will be about 0.2mm more than the indicated value. If the measured value differs significantly from the labeled value, it may indicate that the floor has cut corners in thickness.

Test the strength of the lock buckle: Use force to break the lock buckle at the edge of the floor. The lock buckle of high-quality flooring is not easy to break, while that of low-quality flooring is prone to breakage. This step is crucial for ensuring the stability and load-bearing capacity of the floor after installation.

Check the adhesion of the color film: By breaking and combing the corners of the floor, observing the adhesion strength between the color film layer and the SPC substrate, it can be determined whether the floor is prone to peeling during future use. The bonding strength of the floor color film layer made of pure new materials is the highest, followed by other materials.

Advantages, disadvantages, and applicable scenarios of SPC flooring:
Advantages: Waterproof and moisture-proof, zero formaldehyde, non-toxic and environmentally friendly, wear-resistant, anti slip, easy to clean, insect proof, fireproof, low expansion rate, easy to install. Especially suitable for damp environments such as kitchens, and does not use adhesives containing formaldehyde during installation.

Disadvantage: Thick flooring will increase the height of the ground and make installation more difficult.

Applicable scenarios: Suitable for various places such as homes, offices, hospitals, schools, etc., especially for places that require high wear resistance and easy cleaning.
